Importance of Ahle Bait

Holy Quran says : The wandering Arab said : We believe. Say (unto them O Mohammed): You do not believe, but rather say "We submit", for the faith has not yet entered your heart. (Hujuraat :14)

This ayat makes it evident that without the love of Ahle Bait our faith is incomplete. Allah says, such people have only accepted Islam but are still devoid of FAITH (Imaan).

Some other ayats which prove the importance of Ahle Bait are

1. Obey Allah obey His Messenger and those of authority from amongst you (Ulul Amr) ... . (Nisa : 59)

2. I do not ask anything from you, except the love of my kinship. (42: 43)

3. Your Wali (guardian) can be only Allah; and His messenger and those who believe, who establish worship and pay the poor-rate while they bow. (5:55)

People who forsake Ahle Bait will never enter Heaven
And when We said unto the angels: Prostrate yourselves before Adam, they fell prostrate, all save Iblis. He demurred through pride and so became a disbeliever. (Bakraah : 34)

Allah commanded the angels to prostrate before Hazrat Adam (a.s.) all prostrated except Iblis. Because he did not bow down and did not except the Mastership (Wilayat) of Hazrat Adam (a.s.) he became a disbeliever. Thus in the same way if we perform best of the deeds; perform Namaz, Hajj, Umrah and keep Fast and perform all other 'Aamal', they will be of no use if we do not accept the Mastership (Wilayat) of Ali ibne Abi Talib (a.s.) and his successors.
